Suspect Robs Waukegan Bank For Second Time In One Week

(STMW) -- Authorities are searching for a man who is suspected of robbing the same bank in Waukegan twice in one week.

The most recent robbery at the Fifth Third Bank branch at 800 S. Waukegan Road happened at 1:22 p.m. Monday, according to the FBI and Waukegan police. Additional details were not immediately available about that robbery.

The same man is suspected of robbing the same bank last Monday, Aug. 3 at 2:55 p.m., according to the FBI.

During that robbery, the suspect did not display a weapon and got away with an undetermined amount of cash, authorities said.

He is described as a black man in his 40s, between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-5, and about 140 pounds, authorities said. During the first robbery, he was wearing a black shirt and baseball cap.
