Suspect In Round Lake Beach Murder Arrested In Gary

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Chicago Heights man suspected of shooting and killing a man last week in northwest suburban Round Lake Beach was arrested Wednesday in Gary, Ind., authorities said.

An arrest warrant was issued earlier this week for Jeremy Anderson, 36, for two counts of first degree murder, according to the Round Lake Beach police department.

Anderson shot and killed a 31-year-old man in a domestic dispute about 9:10 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 1400 block of Idlewild Drive, police said.

The 31-year-old was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Anderson was last seen driving a 2000, four-door Chevy Malibu with the Illinois license plate number of V128881, police said. He was considered to be armed and dangerous.

Round Lake Beach Deputy Police Chief Michael Scott said Scott was taken into custody early Wednesday in Gary, Ind. and is being held on a $3 million bond.

The extradition process to bring him to Illinois was expected to begin Thursday, Scott said.
