Suspect Charged In 2012 Murder

(STMW) -- A man has been charged with murder for fatally shooting a man in 2012 in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

Deshun D. McKinney, 21, is charged with one count of first-degree murder for the March 24, 2012 shooting in the 6200 block of South Honore Street, police News Affairs said in a release.

McKinney allegedly opened fire at a 46-year-old man about 9:25 p.m., fatally striking the man, police said.

Randy Streeter, of the 2800 block of West Fillmore Street, was later found unresponsive in an alley, authorities said at the time. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he died about an hour later.

McKinney is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing Friday, police said.
