Students March For Peace

(CBS) – They're all too familiar with guns. Too many have been touched by violence.

Some 2,300 students from the Perspective Network of Charter Schools were joined by community activists, current and former politicians Friday to promote peace on Chicago streets.

Former U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan now works for a philanthropic organization that will 1,000 teens this summer to teach conflict resolution to youths.

"I always say young people with hope don't pick up guns," he says.
