Statue Honoring Ida B. Wells Will Be Unveiled In Bronzeville

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A statue honoring pioneering Chicago journalist and educator Ida B. Wells will be unveiled Wednesday.

The "Light of Truth" sculpture is located at 37th Street and Langley Avenue in Bronzeville where Wells lived, worked and raised her family.

Wells left a great legacy of writings from her push for civil rights for women and minorities in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
