Sox Activate Javy Guerra From Bereavement List, Eaton Sent To Triple-A For Rehab Assignment

(CBS) -- The Chicago White Sox have activated Javy Guerra from the bereavement list and given outfielder Adam Eaton his rehab assignment.

Guerra, 28, has been on the Bereavement List since August 16. The Sox optioned pitcher Eric Surkamp to make room on the roster.

Eaton, 25, will go to Triple-A Charlotte for his injury rehabilitation assignment. The outfielder has been on the DL since August 9 with a strained right oblique.
