Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing At Midway

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Southwest Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Midway Airport Tuesday afternoon.

Southwest flight No. 2390 from Columbus to Denver made an emergency landing because of "potential" smoke in the cockpit, according to a statement from a Southwest spokeswoman.

The plane landed at 4:57 p.m. without incident, according to a spokeswoman for Midway Airport.

The 112 passengers will continue to Denver on a different airplane, the Southwest spokeswoman said. The original plane is being reviewed by maintenance.
