Red Line Resuming Normal Service After Track Damage Repaired
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Southbound trains on the CTA Red Line have resumed normal service, after they were rerouted to elevated tracks for more than two hours due to track damage near the Grand subway station.
The CTA said a rail was damaged on the southbound tracks near the Grand stop, forcing them to reroute 95th-bound trains to the elevated tracks from Fullerton to Cermak-Chinatown shortly before 9 a.m.
Normal service was restored shortly before 11:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
Red Line trains headed north to Howard were not affected by the track damage.
