Southbound Dan Ryan Closed At 79th After Rollover Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- The southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway were reopened nearly 11 hours after a rollover crash early Saturday near 79th Street.

A tanker truck rolled over about 5:30 a.m., according to Illinois State Police.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no injuries were reported, police said.

About 8 a.m., police had reopened the left lane but traffic was moving very slowly. The other lanes were expected to be opened between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. but were closed until about 4 p.m., police said.

Slick roads likely caused the accident, police said.
