String Of Burglaries Reported In South Austin

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries reported since May in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

In each break-in, someone forced open the rear or front door of a home and stole property from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries occurred:

• In the 100 block of North Laramie between 5:30 p.m. May 3 and 2 a.m. May 4;
• In the 100 block of North Central between 3-5:10 p.m. May 26;
• In the 5500 block of West Jackson between 1-2 p.m. May 31;
• In the 5400 block of West Jackson between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 5;
• In the 4900 block of West Van Buren between 8:30-9:30 a.m. June 8; and
• In the 100 block of North Waller between June 8-12.
