Someone You Should Know: Exotic Car Enthusiast Chuck Derer
(CBS) -- His passion is exotic cars and taking pictures of them, and now he's become a YouTube sensation.
Since 1996 Chuck Derer of west suburban Downers Grove has been a regular YouTube personality, with his video presentation of ancient and exotic cars. It's a subject he discovered almost at his doorstep.
His community has regular "cruise nights" in the summer that showcase exceptional cars. He also went to hot rod shows.
Since he started the broadcast his audience has increased by the thousands.
"It's gone from having a local audience to having a global audience, and I know people all over the world," Derer says.
Derer says he gets almost 6,000 views per day.
