Some frozen Connie's Pizzas recalled due to plastic worries

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Palermo Villa Inc. is recalling 1,728 Connie's Thin Crust Cheese Pizzas because of possible plastic in the product.

The frozen pizzas were distributed in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin to grocery stores. They are already expired—their expiration date was Nov. 27 of this year.

The recall alert, being put out with the full cooperation of the Food and Drug Administration, is being issued out of an abundance of caution in case someone still has an affected pizza in the freezer. None are on store shelves anymore.

The affected pizzas come from lot number MR199856. Pizzas from other lot numbers are not affected.
