So The U.S. Women's Curling Team Isn't Doing So Well
(CBS) The United State women's curling team set an Olympic record in the wrong way Tuesday at the Sochi Olympics.
Trailing 2-1 entering the fourth end against Great Britain, Team USA allowed seven points in the frame. This is quite stunning because in curling, you get eight stones per end, and a team receives a point for each stone it has closer to the center than its opponent's closest stone.
So it's practically unfathomable at the highest level for seven of a team's eight stones be better than the other squad's best. Well, until Tuesday at least, when Great Britain's seven points set the Olympic record for the most ever in an end. The Brits went on to win 12-3 when the Americans conceded after six of the 10 ends. The 12 points tied at Olympic record as well.

Not surprisingly, Team USA is behind the eight-ball with an 0-3 record.
