CHICAGO (CBS) -- Six people were shot overnight at a party on the West Side, reports WBBM's Steve Miller.

Police say a man had been at that party in a home in the 4900 block of West Race in the Austin neighborhood and gotten into an argument with another man. He left and came back with a gun and started shooting.

A total of six people were shot and two were reported to be in serious condition, a 20-year-old man and 20-year-old woman. The others were stable and all of the victims were under 23.

"When the guns start going off you know first I hit the floor and when the gunshots stopped I got up and looked out the window and I see people running, people falling," said witness Jermaine Rhodes.

Orr High School basketball player Tyquone Greer was among those shot. He was treated at Stroger Hospital and released.

He was expected to play Tuesday in a state sectional game against Westinghouse College Prep and was looking ahead to playing college basketball on a scholarship. Orr's athletic director says his future is uncertain now.

So far, police are not releasing a description of the man responsible for the shooting.
