Shots fired outside police station on Chicago's Northwest Side

Shots were fired outside a police station on Chicago's Northwest Side on Sunday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., Chicago police said two men pulled their car into the police station, 5500 Block of West Grand Avenue, after noticing someone with a gun inside a silver car next to them.

Police said that person then shot at them and then drove off. An unoccupied police patrol vehicle was damaged by gunfire.

The shooters later crashed into parked cars in the 1500 block of North Pulaski. That's where officers took them into custody, and a weapon was recovered.

Charges are pending against both people inside the silver car.

No injuries were reported.
