The bus was not carrying any passengers.

Sandra Taylor watched it happen and says people came out of the woodwork to help the woman who was struck.

"She was just another citizen who we all cared for at that moment," Taylor said. "At that moment, people were around her trying to help her and I know I took an active role because I said to this lady, 'Please ma'am, stay with us.'"

Taylor says she saw a car potentially run a red light, which may have caused the crash.

"Look at this woman who is going home and somebody is trying to get across a red light for what reason?" Taylor said." That's my reaction, why you're trying to speed across an intersection? And look what you got look what you got."

Five vehicles were involved in the crash. One Mercedes had damage on all four sides and an SUV had its rear wheel ripped off.

The scene reopened at about 9 p.m.
