Second Person Found Dead In Back Of The Yards Fire Identified

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The second victim found dead in a fire two months ago in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood has been identified.

The fire happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 27 in the 5400 block of South Laflin, according to Fire Media Affairs. It was extinguished about 2 a.m.

Two people were found dead after the fire, according to Fire Media. A third person was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.

One of the victims has since been identified as 61-year-old Tommie Darling, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He lived on the same block as the fire.

The other victim was previously identified as 55-year-old Doris Anderson, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Her home address was not known.

Autopsies did not rule on causes and manners of death, with results pending further studies.

The Chicago Police Bomb and Arson Unit was investigating the fire.
