CHICAGO (CBS) -- Authorities located the body belonging to an Arlington Heights man who has been missing for more than two days, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.

Timothy Anderson, 38, was last seen early Monday, when he left his home around 4:30 a.m. to go to the gym before work.

His car, a silver Acura, was found Monday evening, about 10 miles away in the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve, near the Barrington Hills Riding Center at Donlea and Bateman roads.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said a body of a man was found in the forest preserve Wednesday morning and it was later identified as belonging to Anderson.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.

Police said Anderson has no known medical or psychological issues, so his disappearance has left his family and friends concerned and mystified.

"Tim was a loyal partner to me, a loyal husband, he was a great father. He would do anything for anyone," said his wife, Cathrall.

Anderson was a father of two and a vice president at Northern Trust.
