Sands Hits Pair Of Homers As White Sox Beat A's

MESA, Ariz. (AP) — Jerry Sands hit a pair of homers and drove in three run to lead the Chicago White Sox past the Oakland Athletics, 6-2, on Sunday.

Jimmy Rollins and Carlos Sanchez also drove in runs for the White Sox. Matt Davidson had three hits, and Steve Lombardozzi added two.

Jacob Turner threw two innings as he looks to catch on with the White Sox, who picked him off waivers from the Chicago Cubs.

Danny Valencia and Matt Olson each drove in runs for the A's. Sean Manaea allowed a pair of runs in 3 2-3 innings.
