Same-Sex Couple Featured In Hillary Clinton Video Invites Her To Their Wedding

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Hillary Clinton's campaign trail may take a summer turn towards Chicago if one couple's offer is accepted. They were surprised to see themselves in her campaign launch video.

Now, CBS 2's Dana Kozlov reports, they're hoping she'll surprise them by attending their big day.

Wedding bells may take on a very different tone for Chicago couple Jared Milrad and Nate Johnson if one guest on their list decides to attend.

Milrad and Johnson say they sent the Twitter initiation as a way for the couple to return a favor. They're including the Democratic presidential candidate in their celebration after she included them in her 2016 campaign launch video.

Right now, Johnson and Milrad are planning a small July 19 wedding at Montrose Harbor. Clinton's appearance could change that dynamic. They got an RSVP, of sorts, from Clinton's campaign manager who called the invite a nice gesture. Attendance TBD.

The couple will send Clinton a paper "save the date" as they wait and see.

"We'd love to have her come, maybe have her on the dance floor for a dance," Johnson said.

This is the first time an openly gay couple has been featured in a presidential campaign video. Milrad and Johnson look at it as being part of history, a bit.
