Royal Savings Bank Robbed In South Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The robber walked into the the Royal Savings Bank branch at 9226 S. Commercial Ave. about 2:30 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash.

The man implied he had a weapon but didn't show one, then ran out with an unspecified amount of money, police said.

He was described as a black man between 25 and 28, about 5-foot-6, wearing a white T-shirt, blue jean shorts and a dark flat-bill baseball cap, the FBI said.
