Robbins Woman Charged With Stabbing Woman To Death
(CBS) -- Prosecutors have charged a south suburban Robbins woman in the stabbing death early Sunday of a Ford Heights woman.
Police are not saying what led to the murder of 32-year-old Diamond Donovan, pending an appearance in Markham Bond Court Wednesday by the 33-year-old suspect, identified by police as Tyronda Bennett, although detectives say alcohol was a factor.
Robbins Police Cmdr. Darren Hatchett said that a passerby summoned police and firefighters after finding Donovan unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of a home at 13906 Central Park Av. Neither paramedics nor doctors at Christ Hospital, in Oak Lawn, could revive her, and she was pronounced dead less than 90 minutes later.
