Man shot in liquor store robbery

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Police are searching for three suspects who shot one person and robbed at least five other people.

Around 10:30 p.m., three suspects walked into the Bucktown Food and Liquor store, in the 1900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, with guns and demeaned a 26-year-old man's property. They then shot him in the stomach. 

The victim remains in critical condition. 

Before taking off, the suspects stole items from five other victims standing nearby.

The incident happened near the office of Alderman Daniel La Sparta. He says in a statement:

"I'm shocked and angered by the shooting that happened at Bucktown Food & Liquor. They have always been good neighbors to myself, our office, and our community. My thoughts and prayers are with the victim for a full recovery. We will work with the 14th District to our best ability to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice."  

No one is in custody. 

Area detectives are investigating.
