CBS News Chicago

Police issued a community alert Sunday after delivery drivers were robbed and carjacked on separate occasions on the same block in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood.

In both incidents, the delivery drivers were dropping off packages or food in the 6800 block of South Ada Street when a man came up with a gray handgun and demanded their property. The robber then drove off in each of the delivery driver's vehicles, police said.

One of the incidents happened at 10:55 a.m. this past Friday, March 7, the other at 11:44 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28.

Police said the carjacker was wearing a black ski mask and gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Wentworth Area detectives at 312-747-8380, or submit an anonymous tip to CPDTIP.com and use reference #P25-1-012.
