Riot Fest 2023: Foo Fighters, The Postal Service, The Cure among headliners

CHICAGO (CBS)-- There goes my hero, to such great heights. Just like heaven -- or maybe it's more like where soul meets body.

What are we talking about? Riot Fest, of course.

Foo Fighters, The Postal Service, The Cure, and Death Cab for Cutie are among the headliners announced on Tuesday for the festival this September.

The punk rock festival returns to Douglass Park from Sept. 15 until Sept. 17.

Foo Fighters and Turnstile are the headliners for Friday, Sept. 15. The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, and Queens of the Stone Age are the headliners for Saturday, Sept. 16. The Cure and The Mars Volta headline the final day on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Some more clues for the Riot Fest lineup: Talk to me now, give up the funk, and sing some drunken lullabies – but don't forget your alligator and your coin-operated boy.

That's right, some of the of other iconic acts on the bill include Tegan and Sara, The Dresden Dolls, Flogging Molly, Ani DiFranco, and even Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton.

And Juggalos get ready – Insane Clown Posse is playing too. Even Corey Feldman – yes, none other than the '80s teen idol himself – is set to take the stage.

General tickets are now on sale.
