Restaurant Stronger Program Grant Applications Open Tuesday To Help With Reopenings

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Starting Tuesday morning, some Chicago restaurants can apply for help in reopening this summer.
The money comes from the Restaurant Stronger Program. Eligible independent restaurants can apply for $5,000 grants in more than a dozen cities nationwide, including Chicago.
The application deadline is June 5, with the money awarded shortly after. The grants can be used for paying staff, COVID-related requirements and buying food and supplies.
