White Sox Trade Anthony Swarzak To Brewers For A Prospect

(CBS) The White Sox continued their quest to sell off veteran parts Tuesday evening, agreeing to deal reliever Anthony Swarzak for another prospect.

The 31-year-old Swarzak has a 2.23 ERA in 41 appearances this season. He was signed as a minor league free agent in January.

In return, the White Sox received 25-year-old outfielder Ryan Cordell. An 11th-round pick in 2013, Cordell is hitting .284 with 10 homers, 45 RBIs and an .855 OPS in 68 games at Triple-A this season.

Cordell is currently on the disabled list with a lower back injury and isn't expected to be available for a few more weeks, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
