Rams Hire Assistant Mike Groh Away From Bears

(CBS) The Bears have lost another assistant coach.

The Rams have hired Mike Groh as their receivers coach and passing game coordinator, the Bears announced on Monday. Groh had been the Bears' receivers coach for the past three seasons and was one of just two assistants who was retained by Chicago coach John Fox from the Marc Trestman regime.

The Bears have lost a handful of assistants this offseason, all of them getting promoted. Former offensive coordinator Adam Gase left to become the Dolphins' coach, and he took offensive assistant Bo Hardegree with him to be Miami's quarterbacks coach. Derius Swinton also reportedly left the Bears to become the 49ers' special teams coordinator after serving as a special teams assistant in Chicago.
