Report: Northwestern, Pat Fitzgerald Agree On Contract Extension

(CBS) Northwestern has reached an agreement on a contract extension with football coach Pat Fitzgerald, ESPN.com reported late Monday afternoon.

The deal is believed to keep Fitzgerald in Evanston for at least the next 10 seasons, according to ESPN.com. Specifics on financial compensation weren't immediately available.

Fitzgerald is 77-62 in his 11 years leading the Wildcats, who went 7-6 and won the Pinstripe Bowl in 2016.

It's expected that the deal will be made official Tuesday.
