Report: Marcus Mariota Won't Attend Draft In Chicago

(CBS) The NFL Draft will be lacking some serious star power when it's held in Chicago from April 30-May 2.

Just like projected top pick Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota won't be in attendance when his name is called. He plans to be in Hawaii with his family, ESPN reported. That leaves the NFL without a pair of Heisman Trophy winners and the top two quarterbacks in the draft in Chicago. Mariota is expected to be a top-10 pick in the draft.

Mariota informed the NFL that when his name is called, it's personally important to him to be with the people who helped him get to this point in his career, ESPN reported.

The NFL Draft will be conducted at Roosevelt University's Auditorium Theatre, and there will be many outdoor fan events in Grant Park.
