Report: Evan Turner Traded To Pacers, Granger Off To 76ers

(CBS) In the biggest move of the day before this afternoon's NBA trade deadline, the Indiana Pacers shipped Danny Granger to Philadelphia for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen, Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported.

Turner, a St. Joseph's graduate, is a 6-foot-7 forward who was averaging 17.4 points and 6.0 rebounds for the 76ers on 42.8 percent shooting. He figures to give the Eastern Conference-leading Pacers more punch off the bench in their quest to dethrone the two-time defending champion Heat.

Turner will be a restricted free agent this offseason. Granger was averaging 8.3 points for Indiana, and he's set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Allen, a 6-foot-9 power forward, was averaging 5.2 points for Philadelphia.
