Report: De'Anthony Thomas To Visit Bears

(CBS) Former Oregon running back/receiver De'Anthony Thomas will visit the Bears on Tuesday, according to FoxSports.com's Ross Jones.

The 5-foot-9, 174-pound Thomas is projected to be a sixth-round draft pick by CBSSports.com, and he figures to be in the slot receiver/scatback mold of someone like Darren Sproles at the NFL level. He also is a dangerous player in the return game, which could be another reason the Bears are interested in him, as they let Devin Hester walk in free agency recently.

Thomas entered the draft a year early after three seasons full of highlight-reel plays at Oregon, where he amassed 3,186 yards from scrimmage, 26 rushing touchdowns, 15 receiving touchdowns and four return touchdowns in his career.

NFL teams are allowed 30 prospect visits prior to the draft in May.
