Report: Cardinals RB Andre Ellington To Miss 2-3 Weeks

(CBS) When the Bears host the Cardinals on Sunday at Soldier Field, Arizona will be without its top running back.

Andre Ellington is expected to miss two to three weeks after suffering a grade 1 PCL sprain in Sunday's win against New Orleans, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported. Ellington is a versatile and explosive dual threat who had 12 carries for 69 yards and one catch for seven yards before getting hurt Sunday. He rushed for a touchdown.

Chris Johnson would likely start in Ellington's place, the Arizona Republic reported. Johnson had 10 carries for 37 yards in the season opener. Rookie David Johnson would also likely see an increase in snaps.

Chicago's run defense submitted an average performance in Week 1, allowing 133 yards on 30 carries to the Packers.
