Bears Waive Lynch, Mastrud, Edwards
(CBS) -- The Chicago Bears have cut NIU standout and Heisman Trophy finalist Jordan Lynch as part of the process of trimming down the roster to 53 players by Saturday's deadline.
The Bears cut Lynch, wide receiver Armanti Edwards, tight end Jeron Mastrud, tackle Dennis Roland and center/guard Robert Turner.
The Bears roster is now down to 70 active players.
The deadline to get to 53 players is 3 p.m. on Saturday.
