Record Warmth Possible Thursday, Then Snow Could Hit This Weekend

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Summery weather isn't quite done with Chicago yet, and the city could set a record for warmth on Tuesday, with a high in the low 70s.

The normal high for mid-November is about 47 degrees, but forecasts call for a high around 73 on Thursday. That's just one degree shy of the Nov. 17 record of 74 degrees, set in 1975, according to the National Weather Service. It's not out of the question temperatures could pass that mark on Thursday.

It won't be long until temperatures go back to what you'd expect for a week before Thanksgiving. The high will be down to 65 on Friday, and only 40 on Saturday.

Chicago could even see the first flakes of winter this weekend, with snow showers possible by Saturday and again early Sunday.
