Police Investigate After Man Is Stabbed, Critically Injured In The Loop

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police on Saturday were investigating a stabbing that left a man critically injured in the heart of the Loop the night before.

At 8:35 p.m. Friday, a 23-year-old man was walking in the 0-99 block of East Randolph Street when a man came up and began stabbing him with a knife, police said.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.

There was no one in custody as of the last report. Area Three detectives were investigating.
