Protesters March In Chicago, Block Dan Ryan Following Fatal Shootings In Minn., La.

(CBS) -- The pushback could be felt in Chicago Thursday following the deaths of two black men in Minnesota and Louisiana in separate confrontations with police.

Separate groups of demonstrators marched on Chicago streets. One group protested outside the Chicago Police Department's Area Central headquarters at 51st and Wentworth before blocking traffic on the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway. They asked local police to join in their call for officers to be held accountable.

A separate group of protesters marched downtown and reportedly were trying to enter the Taste of Chicago in Grant Park. They were being blocked by police.

Demonstrators aren't done. They say they plan to hold another march Saturday afternoon at Millennium Park.
