Prosecutors: Aurora Man Tried To Sell Air Freshener Beads As Crack Cocaine

AURORA, Ill. (STMW) -- A west suburban Aurora man, who allegedly crushed up air freshener beads and attempted to sell them as crack cocaine, was charged with two felonies on Monday.

According to Kane County court records, bail was set at $15,000 for Tracy Price, 21, 1100 block of Newcastle Lane.

Charging documents allege that Price manufactured/distributed a look-alike substance, which he attempted to sell for $200 on Monday in Aurora.

Prosecutors said that Price crushed air freshener beads into 32 rock-like portions with the intent to sell them as crack cocaine.

He was charged with manufacturing/distributing a look-alike substance, and possession of a look-alike substance.
