Pregnant Woman Shot, Critically Wounded In Domestic Dispute

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A pregnant woman was shot and critically wounded during a domestic dispute Sunday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 35-year-old woman was shot in the chest in the 1600 block of South Springfield about 10:45 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her baby was delivered, police said. Both the woman and baby remain in critical condition.

The suspect is not in custody as of Sunday afternoon, police said.
