Powerball Jackpot Climbs To More Than $1 Billion

(CBS) -- Powerball fever will grip the nation for the next few days after no one won Saturday night's jackpot.

That means Wednesday night's drawing could be worth $1.3 billion.

The numbers on Saturday's drawing that no one hit were: 16-19-32-34-57 and the Powerball -- 13. That jackpot was worth nearly $950,000.

Many people came out to try their luck, buying anywhere from 2-dollars to 100-dollars' worth of tickets and some surely spent more than that.

There were also many first-time and casual players mixed in with the lottery veterans.

The chances of winning are slim: One in 292 million.
