Woman Killed When Driver Repeatedly Rams Her Into Tree In Morgan Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 19-year-old woman was killed Friday night when a 24-year-old woman rammed her into a tree with her vehicle in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said.

Following an argument between the two, the older woman got into her vehicle and chased the younger woman along a sidewalk about 11:10 p.m. in the 11400 block of South May, Chicago Police said. The older women then rammed the younger woman's body against a tree with her vehicle multiple times.

The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said. Her identity was not released on Saturday.

The 24-year-old was taken into custody and charges were pending, police said.
