Police Warn Residents Of Northwest Side Garage Burglaries

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police are warning Northwest Side residents of five recent garage burglaries in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.

Suspects entered garage doors by kicking or prying open overhead, side doors or unlocked doors, police said. Lawn care equipment, bicycles and I-Pads were stolen.

The burglaries happened:

• between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 5500 block of West Edmunds;

• between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 3-4 in the 5500 block of West Higgins;

• between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 4700 block of North Long;

• between 8:40 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. Nov. 8 in the 5500 block of West Giddings; and

• between 12 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 5200 block of North Ludlam.
