Police Warn Of Robberies In Brighton Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are cautioning residents of the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side after the same man robbed two people in the same week just a block from each other.

According to an alert from Area Central detectives, the robberies occurred about 12:40 a.m. on June 7 in the 4500 block of South Rockwell and again about 5:15 a.m. on June 13 in the 4600 block of South Rockwell.

In both incidents, a white or Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old walked up to the victim and demanded their property, police said.
