Police Warn Of Home Burglaries On Southwest Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning residents of home burglaries in the Garfield Ridge and Clearing neighborhoods on the Southwest Side.

Four separate burglaries were reported in April and May, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

In each incident, at least one person robbed a home by forcing their way in or entering through unlocked doors and windows, police said.

The four reported incidents happened on the following days and locations:

-April 14, during daytime hours, in the 6000 block of South Natoma Avenue

-May 3, during daytime hours, in the 5900 block of South Natoma Avenue

-May 4, during afternoon or evening hours, in the 7000 block of West 63rd Street

-May 7 to the 8th, during overnight hours, in the 5800 block of South Sayre Avenue

Police advised residents to keep their doors and windows locked, and to keep the perimeter of their property well-lit.
