Police Warn Of Armed Robberies In Logan Square

(STMW) -- Police are cautioning residents of the Logan Square neighborhood after three armed robberies were reported within a block of each other in the last two weeks.

The first robbery was reported about 10:30 p.m. on March 14 in the 3000 block of West Schubert. The second was occurred on the same block on March 22 about 12:25 a.m. The third robbery was reported about 15 minutes later one block east, according to an alert from Area North detectives.

In each case, one or two people walked up to a victim and either implied they had a weapon or displayed one, police said.

In the first two robberies, two suspects were involved, police said. Only one person was involved in the third.

The suspects were described as black men between 18 and 30 years old, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-1, police said. They weigh between 150 and 180 pounds. One of the suspects was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with pink lettering, blue jeans and beige construction boots. Both his ears were pierced.
