Police: Two Young Children Found Dead Inside Kenosha Home

(CBS) -- Kenosha police are investigating the deaths of two children whose bodies were found following a 911 call early Saturday morning.

The call came in at 3:15 a.m. according to Kenosha police. Officers were dispatched to a home at 33rd Avenue near 50th Street where two young children were found dead and an adult female was found injured.

The mother of the children is in the hospital and she's accused of killing her one-year-old son and three-year-old daughter.

The father of the one and three year old says he's the one who found them. Juan Javier Arellano says he thought his children were sleeping when he came home around 3 a.m.

Arrellano told police he found the kids mother, Lucia, lying on a bed with cuts on her arms. He says she told him she was free and the kids weren't going to be in his way anymore.

The mother is now in a hospital, while Kenosha police collect evidence. They haven't confirmed if the mother will be charged in their deaths.
