Police: Tinley Park 8th-Grader Posted Video Threatening Students

CHICAGO (CBS) -- An eight-grade student in south suburban Tinley Park has been removed from school after posting a video to social media threatening several of his classmates.

A parent of one of the threatened students at St. George School at 6700 176th St. saw the video Wednesday night and contacted police, according to Tinley Park police.

Police spoke to the students involved and his parents, police said. The principal was also contacted, and the student was told not to return to school Thursday. The student and his family complied.

Extra patrols will be provided at the school as Tinley Park police investigate.
