Police: Three Men Shot — One Fatally — In Austin

(STMW) -- A man died after he and two others were shot at a party early Sunday in the West Side Austin neighborhood, authorities said.

The three were at a backyard party in the 5000 block of West Potomac about 2 a.m. when someone came out of an alley and fired multiple shots, police said.

A 33-year-old was shot in the torso and was unresponsive on the scene, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the elbow, torso and hip and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.

A 36-year-old man was shot in the back and was in serious condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
