Police Shoot Suspect In Old Town
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police shot a man who allegedly was beating another man with a baseball bat early Monday in the Old Town neighborhood.
Police said officers responded to a street brawl near the intersection of Halsted Street and Clybourn Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
When they arrived, the officers saw one man beating another with a baseball bat. Officers demanded the attacker stop, and when he refused, police shot the suspect in an attempt to save the victim's life.
The offender and the victim were being treated at the hospital.
