Police Seek Man Who Stole Vehicle From Waukegan Gas Station

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Waukegan police are searching for the suspect who stole a running vehicle from a gas station last week in the northern suburb.

About 5:45 p.m. Nov. 20, the vehicle was left running at the gas station in the 600 block of North Lewis Avenue while the owner went inside to pay for items, according to Waukegan police.

While the vehicle's owner was inside the gas station, the suspect took off in the vehicle, police said.

The vehicle was found in Waukegan two days later.

The Waukegan Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division is asking for help identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call their tip-line at (847) 360-9001.
